Fire off Norderney
In the afternoon of Fenb 19, 2013, at 3.30 p.m. a fire broke out in the engine room of the "Harle Kurier". The captain sealed the room, but his ship went adrift between the sandbars around the island Norderney. The lifeboat "Bernhard Gruben" took the ship in tow one Kilometer off Norderney and pulled it into the island port at 4.30 p.m. where the fire brigade attended. The crew of three was not injured.
