Allision in Kirchdorf

Fri Apr 26 22:25:48 CEST 2019 Timsen

On April 25, 2019, at 9 a.m. a pleasure biat was in allision with the "Hanseat" on Poel island. The 8,5 meter-boat was about to berth in the port of Kirchdorf upon Poel when it was caught by a wind gust and pushed into the berthed passenger ship. The bow anchor smashed a window of the port side cabin area of the "Hanset". No one was injured, and no passengers were aboard the vessel at that time. The sea accident investigation commission was informed, and the marine police Mecklenburg-Vorpommern launched an investigation against the 65 year old skipper of the pleasure boat. The "Hanseat" berthed in the old wood port of Wismar on April 26 at 2.45 p.m. German report with photo: https://www.nordkurier.de/mecklenburg-vorpommern/sportboot-rammt-auf-insel-poel-fahrgastschiff-2635308604.html
