Passenger ship disabled on the Elbe
On March 9, 2022, at 4.12 p.m. the 'Hanse Star' was disabled on the Elbe at the height of the Dockland building during a harbour roundtrip with 50 passengers on board. The captain contacted nearby ships, and the harbour ferry 'St. Pauli' responded and kept the ship in position and away from obstructions with the swell of its propellers, until a tug arrived and took the 'Hanse Star' in tow to the Brandenburg Port in Hamburg, where it arrived at around 6 p.m., and technicians commenced investigating the damage. The ship remained stationary as of March 14.
