Tue May 09 22:01:10 CEST 2017 Timsen

On May 8, 2017, the "Hamarøy" serving the connection between Ranavik and Skjersholmane, suffered a ruture of a diesel fuel pipe ferry and suddenly lost the engine power. As the damage could not be fixed at once, she returned to Skjersholmane. The "Hardingen" was called as a replacement.

Diesel leak stopped ferry

Wed Sep 12 18:41:35 CEST 2012 Timsen

A technical failure of the "Hamarøy" caused cancellations and delays on Sep 11, 2012. After a fuel pipe ruptured and diesel leaked out, the engine had to be shut down and the ferry had to be towed to Lødingen at midday by the ferry "Tysfjord" which was in the area and was requested for assistance. In Lødingen, two lifeboats safely docked the disabled ferry. Norwegian report with photo: http://www.an.no/nyheter/article6233126.ece
