Container ship heavily damaged in allision

The container m/v "Ren Jian 15" got out of control while maneuvering to a berth at the Longxue Island Container Terminal in Nansha, Guangzhou, on Dec 26, 2018, at 12.20 p.m. Despite tug assistance, the ship slammed into the berthed "Hai Su 10", which had arrived from Laem Chabang at 3 a.m., and struck it at starboard side. It suffered heavy damage, jolted and listed, and containers fell onto the quay. The hull was breached with ensuing water ingress. Emergency and Maritime SAR teams were deployed and powerful pumps deployed to keep the ship affloat. The situation could apparently be brought under control. The "Ren Jian 15" suffered bow damage. No casualties, no injures reported.
