Iran rejected accusations by Netanyahu

The foreign ministry of Iran on Feb 20 rejected allegations by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Tehran was behind an attack on the 'Campo Square', linked to the Israeli shipping magnate Eyal Ofer. Netanyahu accused Iran on Feb 19 of being behind the attack on Feb 10, which caused minor damage and no injuries.

Iran suspected of drone attack

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suspected the Iran of attacking the 'Campo Square' in the Arabian Sea. The tanker may be linked to an Israeli businessman. The ship was hit by a drone, and there was minor damage, but it was able to continue. No one was injured either. Iran has not yet commented on the matter.

Tanker hit by airborne object

The 'Campo Square', transiting in ballast, was hit by an airborne object while in the Arabian Sea approximately 300 nautical miles off the coasts of India and Oman on Feb 10, 2023, at about 10.30 p.m. GMT. Both the vessel and crew were safe. There was minor damage to the vessel, which was was en route from Singapore to Fujairah. The ship went off AIS on Feb 11, re-emerged on Feb 13 near Fujairah, and went off again.
