Grounding off Glatved
The 'Hagland Boss', while en route from Oxelösund, ran aground just outside the port of Glatved on May 25, 2021, at 3 p.m. The vessel was refloated with tug assistance and safely moored in the port of Grenaa at 11 p.m. Following an inspection that found no damage to the vessel, the port authorities granted permission for the vessel to leave the port which continued the voyage to Malmö, where it arrived on May 27 at 2 a.m.
Cargo ship rescued asylum seeker
The 'Hagland Boss', enroute from Ystad to Haugesund, took on board an asylum seeker who was found drfiting in on a sailing yacht in the middle of the Skagerrak on May 1, 2020. The NSSR lifeboat "Inge Steensland" and the police attended the cargo ship and retrieved the asylum seeker. He had set off from Sweden days ago but the boat was disabled in rough seas and he was tired. The man was taken to Arendal On May 2 the 'Hagland Boss' was moored off Husoy Island. Cargo ship taken in tow after grounding
In the early morning of Nov 6, 2016, the "Hagland Boss" ran aground off Langøya in the outer Oslo Fjord. The ship suffered damage to the rudder and propeller, but no leaks. The ship had left Langøya after unloading its cargo and was off Holmestrand at 2 a.m. when the ship suffered difficulties in maneuvering and got stuck. The tug "Boa Sund" (IMO:7500798) was called to assist and took the ship in tow towards Frederikshavn, arriving there on Nov 7, where she was drydocked at the Orskov Yard for repairs at 5.30 p.m..
