Search for missing fishermen going on

Five divers were scouring the waters in the incident area where 17 fishermen went missing when their boat capsized after collision with the 'Habco Pioneer' on April 3 at 9.30 a.m. An agency rescue ship had taken the 15 rescued crew members on board off the Indramayu district. The bulk carrier was moored after its propeller got caught in the fishing net.

The 'Habko Pioneer', enroute from Pacitan to Merak, was in collision with the fishing vessel 'Barokah Jaya' on April 3, 2021, at 4.45 p.m. northeast of Jakarta, in the Indramayu Regency waters, West Java. The damaged fishing vessel sank, of its 32 crew members, 15were rescued by the cargo ship, 17 more fishermen remained missing. An SAR operation was launched after the bulk carrier reported the accident to the Cirebon Vessel Traffic Centre and moored in pos. 05° 37.30' N 108° 17.14' E.
