Medevac off Newhaven

A crew member of the 'Gunerler' fell on board and suffered injuries in head, neck, arm, and complained of leg pain in pos. 50 45 33 N, 000 01 43 E, approximately 1,5 nautical miles southwest of the port of Newhaven, where the ship was anchored, on Aug 19, 2023. At 1 p.m. a TMAS was conducted via the QA hospital in Portsmouth which recommended an immediate evacuation to a major trauma centre due to the nature of the injuries. At 1.10 p.m. the rescue helicopter 175 was scrambled and reached the ship at 1.40 p.m. At 1.45 p.m. the patient was hoisted and taken to a helicopter landing site for the transport to the Royal Sussex County Hospital by ambulance for further treatment. The SAR operation was terminated at 3.50 p.m.

Freighter lost anchor

On Dec 15, 2019, the JRCC Den Helder was informed that the 'Emre Kose' lost its port side anchor, along with three shackles, at Ymuiden anchorage No.7. The ship was enroute from Antwerp and berthe in the outer port of Ymuiden on Dec 16 at 12.30 a.m.
