Trawler sank off Faroes
In the morning of July 31, 2013, the "Gullberg" sank, while it was on mackerel fishing about 90 miles north of the Faroe Islands. All nine crew members were rescued. Water entered the engine shortly after 8 a.m., a strong list to port occurred, and one hour later the trawler sank. The crew - eight men and one woman - climbed to rafts over the starboard stern and were all taken on board the sister ship "Sjagaklettur" in good health and taken to Vestmanna.
