Ferry damaged in grounding
The "Gulen" suffered damage to the propeller or rudder on Dec 30, 2015, at 8.30 p.m. after she ran aground at the ferry port Mannheller in Sogndal. There were ten passengers and a crew of six persons on board when the accident occurred. One crew member suffered cut injuries at the head and was being cared of by medical staff. The ferry service Mannheller-Fodnes was run with half capacity on Dec 31.
Ferry ran aground in Lote
The "Gulen" ran aground on Apr 2, 2014, around 8 p.m. at Lote. The ship suffered bow damage. The ferry service Anda - Lote had to be suspended because after the incident the ship suffered additional technical problems and was sidelined to find the error. It was unclear how long the ferry would be out of service, but Fjord1 started to find an eventual replacement ferry. The Eid police launched an investigation. At 10.20 p.m. the "Sunnfjord" was called from Måløy to be inserted as a replacement ferry starting in the morning of Apr 3.
Ferry damaged in quay allision
The "Gulen" allided with the ferry dock at Hella in the foremidday of Feb 14, 2014. None of the 17 passengers were injured, and the 13 cars have not been damaged in the accident. The ferry operator tried to insert the "Sognefjord" as replacement in the afternoon. One of the ramps of the "Gulen" was damaged and a hole of 15 centimeters torn into the hull.
