The "Gulen" ran aground on Apr 2, 2014, around 8 p.m. at Lote. The ship suffered bow damage. The ferry service Anda - Lote had to be suspended because after the incident the ship suffered additional technical problems and was sidelined to find the error. At 10.20 p.m. the "Sunnfjord" was called from Måløy to be inserted as a replacement ferry starting in the morning of Apr 3.
