Seven fishermen rescued, two missing after collision
On Aug 14, 2021, at 10 a.m. the 'Green Pacific' was in collision with the Vietnamese flagged fishing vessel 'TTH 92206TS' about 30 nautical miles northeast of Con Co island, Quang Tri province, in the Gulf of Tonkin,. The fishing vessel sank due to the severe damage. The container ship returned to the accident site and rescued seven fishermen. Two more remained missing. The 'Green Pacific' was diverted to Cua Viet port to disembark the castaways, six of whom were injured. Then she resumed her voyage from Hai Phong to Quy Nhon port, Binh Dinh Province, and arrived at the quay of the Quyy Nhon Port Company on Aug 15 at 5.40 p.m.
