Oil leak in main engine
The 'Green Egersund', en route from Gibraltar to the Faroes with 16 crew members on board, suffered an oil leak in the main engine in position 50 51.867 N, 006 12.533 W, on Jan 15, 2022, at 5.40 a.m. The defect was rectified by the crew, and the vessel resumed its voyage at 10.55 a.m. with an ETA as of Jan 17.
Reefer leaked heavy fuel oil after allision in Gdynia
The "Green Egersund" allided with a floating dock at the Naval Shipyard in Gdynia in the afternoon of Aug 27, 2015, around 5 p.m. and was breached. The ship leaked heavy fuel oil into the basin IV, which was collected throughout the day. It was difficult to estimate how much fuel oil leaked. During the mooring manoevre the "Green Egersund", 5084 gt ran bow-to-bow into the Barbados-flagged reefer "Tasman Start", 9623 gt (IMO: 8221844) which was berthed at the quay in the port of Ijmuiden on Apr 11. The "Green Egersund" hit the "Tasman Star" with its port side bulwark into its starboard bow, both ships suffered slight damage above the waterline. The "Green Egersund" departed from Ijmuiden after end of investigations at 5 p.m. and berthed at Amsterdam, Klosterboer, about an hour later, while the "Tasman Star" anchored Ijmuiden approach on Apr 12.
