Repair in Linz
The "Aries", 78 ts (EU-No.: 4002320), which had allided with a bridge on the Main-Danube-Canal on May 7, docked at the AT Linz Shipyard on May 16 for repairs of the demolished wheelhouse. Bridge allision on Main-Danube-Canal
On May 7, 2015, at 7.30 p.m. the "Aries" allided with a bridge on the Main-Danube-Canal. The wheelhouse was torn off in the accident short before the Nürnberg lock while the ship was enroute from Erlangen to Linz. The wheelhouse could not be lowered down enough due to a technical failure. The Hugarian master was not injured. The damage was estimated to be around 150000 Euro. Damage to the bridge had yet to be surveyed. The water police Nürnberg launched an investigation. Aries salvaged
In the foremidday of Nov 18, 2011, the "Aries" was refloated on the Danube near Melk. The ship was taken alongside another vessel and pulled to a repair yard at Linz.
