Bulker refloated and towed to Salamis
The "Goodfaith" could be removed from its grounding site in Andros after the accomodation block and parts of the stern were cut off to make the ship easier. On July 11, she was towed from Andros to Salamisby the "Christos XXII" and berthed at the Spanopoulos Group Salamis premises. It was thought she will be towed to Turkey in the near future in order to be demolished. The bulker had made the first voyage after having been drydocked when it went aground at Andros. Oil continues to be drained
The "Goodfaith" remained hard aground off northern Andros. Until Feb 27 about 190 cubic meters of oil from on the whole 300 cbm were drained with the help of the tug "Aegis I" which moored at the port side of the bulker. It was estimated that the entire process would last one week. Greek report with photos: http://androsfilm.blogspot.de/2015/02/goodfaith_27.html
