Engine Trouble

Fri Apr 09 14:12:45 CEST 2021 BerndU

Friday morning the engine of the Golf on the Weser off Bremerhaven failed. It was towed into port. Nobody got hurt. Around 5 a.m., the cargo ship was on its way from Bremen to Hamburg. Shortly before Bremerhaven the machines failed for an as yet unexplained cause. The incapable of maneuvering freighter was pulled into port by a tug at around 06:45 and was able to moor safely. The 180-meter-long ship may only leave Bremerhaven again when the damage has been repaired and there is no longer any danger to the ship's safety.
