Crew member fell 100 feet deep
A crew member of the ""Jia Mao Shan" fell 100 feet and was injured on Dec7 , 2017, in Cheasepeake Bay. He broke his femur after the fall, and was rescued by Maryland Natural Resources Police officers. Annapolis, Anne Arundel, Coast Guard and Maryland Natural Resources Police units helped rescue the 35-year-old man. Two crew members aboard the ship were brought to shore and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. They were airlifted by a helicopter of the Maryland State Police to an area hospital for treatment. The officers were waiting in the unit block of Dock Street to help the crew member. Second deadly accident in Moerdijk within two days
During loading operations of the "Jia Mao Shan" in the port of Moerdijk a worker of 19 years died in an accident in the on Oct 22, 2013 at 12.30 a.m. A crane driver hit him with a cargo of solid steel pipe . The victim was crushed and died instantly. The ship was docked in the Moerdijk industrial estate. Several ambulances and police were on the spot. The ship was carrying steel pipes.
