Gloria pushed to repair yard
The "Gloria" was pushed by the tug "Paual" of Klink & Knüppel GbR to the Rosemeier Yard Minden for engine room repairs. The ship was moored at the yard on Dec 11 at 11 a.m.
Gloria dewatered after flooding
The "Gloria" suffered water ingress on the Mittelland Canal in the Börde Commnity on Dec 7, 2011, and was in danger of sinking. The ship carried a cargo of 1289 tons cement clinker. Some bilge water was spilt into the canal. The fire rescue was able to dewater the engine room in which an open pipe was found to have caused the flooding. With a leak sail the water ingress was controlled from outside. An oil boom was laid out as a precaution. The engine was no longer in working condition and the ship has to be unloaded in the port of Haldenleben now before proceeding to a yard. The "Nawatrans IX" went alongside. Obviously a pump has been removed leaving the pipe open.
