New safety/standby vessel christened in the port of Scheveningen
On 15th March offshore shipping company Groen introduced a new safety/standby vessel in their fleet. The vessel was christened in the port of Scheveningen, the 42 metre long “Linde-G” is built on Nauta shipyard in Gdynia, Poland and can carry max. 125 survivors. Next to this the vessel can perform supply duties and be used as firefighting vessel. The propulsion is quite special. There are “green” engines placed which comply with IMO Tier standards. To be able to pick up drowning persons very quickly, the “Linde-G“ has a fast rescue craft capable for 15 persons.
