Disabled m/v Bosporus under tow to Barcelona

General cargo vessel Bosporus issued distress signal late at night Feb 28 13 reporting engine failure while proceeding in rough weather in Balearic sea. MRCC Barcelona sent salvage tug Punta Mayor (IMO:8305066), which took distressed vessel on tow for towage to Barcelona. As of 12:00 Mar 1 towage was still under way, vessels were some 15 nautical miles south of Barcelona, proceeding in stormy conditions. Bosporus was en route from Tarragona to Fos.
