Bulkcarrier refloated and taken to port
The "Gleamstar" was refloated on Aug 25 at 11.15 a.m. It berthed in San Nicolas de Los Arroyaos on Aug 26 at 5.50 a.m. The Argentine Coastguard authorised up and down river navigation through the area at .30 p.m. for vessels with a draught up to 8,7 meters. The dredger "Nunez" was working in the area from river kilometre 316 to 317. A a new bathymetry was made on Aug 26.
Grounding on Paraná River
The "Gleamstar" ran aground on Aug 24, 2018, at 12.50 p.m. on the Paraná at river km 317, sailing upstream from Santa Marta to San Nicolas. The ship blocked the fairway in pos 33° 29.67' S 059° 54.92' W. The tugs "Brutus" (MMSI: 701006670) and "Tmbador 1" (MMSI: 701006569) were called from Rosario in the morning of Aug 25 to refloat the grounded ship.
