Damaged mine hunter back in Kiel

In the evening of Nov 26 the "Fulda" returned to Kiel before time due to the dsamages suffered in an allision with a Bridge in Le Havre ten days before. Before the ship sailed, emergency repairs had been carried out there. The boat with ist Crew of 42, however, remains part of the NATO Response Force (NRF) until the end of the year. Fulda significantly damaged in bridge allision

On Nov 16, 2012, the "Fulda" allided with the bascule bridge in the entrance of the Le Havre port between the Bassin de la Manche and the Bassin Bellot. Though there was a pilot on board, the superstructure of minehunter swiped the bridge. Both brige wings of the boat and the foc's'le as well as the aft were damaged. The slip device for boat fuel was demolished and the a ladder from the B- to the main deck on the starboard side was affected too. The ship docked at the Quay du Cameron in Le Havre around noon the same day for a thorough assessment of the damage.
