Medevac off Le Tréport

A crew member of the "Scapulaire" was medevaced following severe headaches and hospitalized in Pas-de-Calais. On Sep 14, 2018, around 6.45 a.m., the CROSS Gris-Nez was alerted by the fishing vessel which was 15 miles from Le Tréport. The CROSS got the ship in touch with the medical center for maritime consultation of Toulouse and the SAMU Le Havre. They advised the medical evacuation of the patient as soon as possible. At 7 a.m. a Dauphin helicopter of the navy base at Le Touquet too off towards the fishing vessel to proceed with the evacuation. Around 9:30 a.m., the sailor was hoisted and transferred to the Rang hospital in Fliers (Pas-de-Calais) where he was taken care of.

Medevac off Port-en-Bessin

On Dec 27, 2016, a fisherman was injured on board of the "Scapulaire" off Port-en-Bessin. At 3:30 p.m., the CROSS Jobourg was alerted by the trawler that one of its crew members suffered a wound at the hand. The ship was 15 km northeast of Port-en-Bessin. Following an audio-conference between the Maritime Medical Advisory Center in Toulouse, the Maritime Medical Coordination SAMU in Le Havre and the ship, a medical evacuation of the man by helicopter was decided. A Dragon 76 helicopter of the Civil Security in Seine-Maritime hoisted the fisherman who was delivered at the CHU in Caen at 4.15 p.m.
