Medevac off Cherbourg

On FEb 20, 2016, the CROSS Jobourg was alerted by the "Jean Tabourel" after one crew member, aged 45, suffered an open fracture to the left arm. The trawler was 33 miles west of Cherbourg then. The CROSS Jobourg, after consulting the Maritime Medical Consultation Centre Toulouse and the maritime medical coordination of SAMU dispatched an EC 225 helicopter of the Navy base in Maupertus, which, after retrieving a medical team from Querqueville, took off towards the trawler. At 5:30 p.m. the injured was hoisted and transferred to the Louis Pasteur Hospital in Cherbourg where he was delivered around 6:25 p.m.

Medevac off Barfleur

On Oct 25, 2015, at 11.36 p.m. the CROSS Jobourg was alerted after a crew member of the "Patron Jean Tabourel", aged 50, complained of pain chest. The ship was 16 miles east of Barfleur. Immediately, the CROSS Jobourg, after consulting the Medical Consultation Centre Toulouse Maritime (CSCM) and the maritime medical coordination of SAMU advised a medical evacuation and dispatched an EC 225 helicopter of the Navy base in Maupertus. After retrieving a medical team of SECMAR Min Querqueville the helicopter reached the trawler at 1:05 a.m., hoisted the patient and transferred him to the hospital Jacques Monod in Le Havre where he was taken care of by medical teams at 01:30 a.m.
