Medevac off Fécamp
On Dec 17, 2020, at 1:26 p.m., the Maritime Medical Consultation Center (CCMM) in Toulouse informed the CROSS Gris-Nez that a crew member of the 'Grand Charles' had been injured at his hand and required a medical evacuation (EVASAN). The ship was 20 nautical miles north of Fécamp. The CROSS immediately deployed the Le Havre-based Civil Security helicopter Dragon 76 to carry out the evacuation. The SAMU of the Maritime Medical Coordination of Le Havre directed the patient to the inter-municipal hospital center of the Pays des Hautes Falaises de Fécamp. At 2.50 pm, the man was airlifted aboard the helicopter and then dropped off at the Fécamp Hospital where he was taken care of by the emergency department at 2.85 p.m.
Medevac off Courseulles-sur-Mer
On Nov 10, 2016, at 1:20 a.m., The CROSS Jobourg was informed that a crew member of the "Père Daniel" had been injured on board the fishing vessel 11 miles north of Courseulles-sur-Mer. The CROSS Jobourg organized a medical audioconference with the Maritime Medical Consultation Center (CCMM) in Toulouse, the Maritime Medical Coordination Unit (SCMM) in Le Havre and the fishing vessel during which a medical evacuation to the hospital of Le Havre was recommended. The CROSS Jobourg deployed a Dragon 76 helicopter of the Civil Protection with a medical team from the Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation Service (SMUR) in Le Havre as well as a rescue swimmer on board. At 1:10 p.m., the fisherman was hoisted on board the Dragon 76 and transported to the hospital Jacques Monod in Le Havre, where he was delivered at 1:20 p.m.
