Fri Nov 27 09:35:40 CET 2015 Timsen

On Nov 26, 2015 at 6:29 p.m., the CROSS Etel was alerted because a fisherman of 53 years aboard the "Aspin" suffered healthy problems. After a first conference call between the Maritime Medical Consultation Centre (MMCC) in Toulouse, the CROSS and the ship, a medical evacuation sailor was decided. Following a second conference with the Maritime Medical Coordination SAMU in Finistère, the CROSS dispatched a Cayman helicopter of the naval base Lanvéoc-Poulmic to transport the sailor to the hospital Cavale Blanche in Brest. The gillneter was 35 miles south of the tip of Penmarc'h. The helicopter took off at 8:21 p.m. with a medical on board and reached the ship at 8:49 p.m.. The fisherman was hoisted at 9:42 p.m. and arrived at the hospital at 10:18 p.m.
