Collision off Nungsa
On Aug 6, 2024, the Indonesian Navy responded to a collision of the 'Fu Tong' and the tanker 'PVT Avira' (IMO: 9414280) in the waters of Nongsa, Batam, Riau Islands,. The ship had 20 crew members on board, consisting of 19 Chinese and one Myanmar national. All of them were in good health The KRI 'Siliman-848' was deployed to the scene. The 'Fu Tong' was anchored about 1.8 nautical miles north of Nongsa after the accident and remained stationary in pos. N 01° 11' E 103° 57' as of Aug 9. Arrest in Chittagong
The "Calix" has been re-arrested this week, as per orders of the local High Court, in a litigation, dated Jan 6, 2019, at the outer anchorage of Chittagong port.
Detained bulkcarrier released
The Chittagong Port Authority (CPA), has released the detained "Calix" on Dec 6. The ship was under arrest in a litigation at the outer anchorage of port. It was reported that the owner of the vessel had a dispute with some overseas supplier on fuel oil payment etc.
