On Dec 13 the "Le Flamant" assisted the French trawler “Le Virgule - CN.636764”, (MMSI-No.: 228886000) which had been disabled by a rope that fouled the propeller on Dec 13, 016. at 7.40 p.m. off Port-en-Bessin-Huppain (Calvados), and went adrift. The fishermen alerted the CROSS Jobourg. which at 8.46 p.m. deployed the SMSM-boat "SNS 267“ for assistance. The lifeboat was on scene within a few minutes and took the ship in tow. The nearby "Le Flamant", which was three miles off the port, became aware of the situation and offered help too. Three divers were sent down to remove the obstruction from the propeller, so that the "Le Virgule" regained propulsion. The "SNS 267“ returned to port at 11 p.m. French report with photos: http://france3-regions.francetvinfo.fr/basse-normandie/calvados/navire-peche-secouru-cette-nuit-port-bessin-1155179.html
