Allision of two traditional sailing ships
In the late afternoon of June 28, 2014, the "Albatros" (MMSI: 211302570) was in allision with the "Fridtjof Nansen" in the Old Port of Wismar during a turn around manoever. The stern of the "Albatros" hit the bow of the "Fridtjof Nansen" which was berthed at the quay. The bulwark of the "Albatros" suffered significant damage, and the gaf tree was broken. The "Fridtjof Nansen" suffered damage at the hull. The police Wismar launched an investigation.
