Cargo loss off Scotland
On Mar 10, 2015, the "Fri Wave" while enroute from Dundalk to Wismar encountered wind forces of 10 Beaufort off the Scottish coast. A part of the deck cargo of logs was lost over board when the ship tilted up to 55 degrees in waves of five meters height and the fixings gave way or broke. The remainder of the deck cargo was still in disorder when the ship entered the port of Wismar on Mar 13. The ship was escorted by a police boat on the last leg due to the danger that still logs might be lost over board. On Mar 16 the ship was inspected by the relevant traffic authorities. It left Wismar again after the damage was fixed and the cargo removed on Mar 16 at 4 p.m., next bound for Szczecin with an ETA of Mar 17.
Cargo ship resumed voyage after death of sailor
On Jan 3, 2014, at 2.15 p.m. the "Fri Wave" resumed its voyage from Brunsbüttelkoog to Gdynia with an ETA of Jan 5, 6 a.m. The Police found out that the Polish sailor, aged 57, who died after an accident aboard had been on the way to the foreship when he suddenly fell down a staircase and was injured at the head after having suffered a heart attack. He died in a Hospital in Itzehoe short time later. The ship had left the lock in Brunsbüttel at 10.40 a.m. and berthed in Brunsbüttelkoog.
Fri Wave in trouble again

On Jan 2 14 Polish crew member fell on a ladder because of a heart attack, and later died in a hospital. Meanwhile, water police sniffed alcohol in captain’s breath, finding 0.7 per mil in a test (one and a half hour after drinking two bottles of beer). Vessel was detained, captain had to place a deposit.
