Tankers reach Venezuela despite US sanctions

Fri Oct 02 11:27:19 CEST 2020 Timsen

The second of three Iranian tankers, the 'Fortune' has arrived in the waters of Venezuela on Oct 1, followed by the 'Faxon'. On Sep 29 the 'Forest' already arrived in El Palito to discharge a cargo of crude oil. They were carrying on the whole 823.899 barrels Iranian fuel and other oil. The 'Faxon' was sailing along the coast of Guyana on Oct 1. All three tankers made a detour through southern Africa, continued towards the Carribean and entered Venezuelan waters with tracking systems turned off to curcumvent US scantions.

Wed May 27 12:29:43 CEST 2020 Timsen

After the Iranian tanker 'Fortune', the first of the five tankers that in total transport approximately 1,500,000 barrels of gasoline from Iran to Venezuela, which arrived at El Palito on May 25, 2020, also the 'Forest' docked at El Palito on May 26. Apparently, the docks of the Carabobeño port are the only ones capable of receiving these deep draft tankers.
