Engine trouble off Kiel
Enroute from Hamina to Rotterdam the "RMS Wedau" encountered trouble with the auxiliary engines on Jan 17, 2017, when about to enter the Kiel Canal for the westbound transit. The ship encountered several blackouts and was towed through the locks of the Kiel Canal by the tug "Stein" at 10 a.m. It was berthed at the Voith Quay of the North Port in Kiel for repairs. The ship continued the voyage on Jan 25 at 6.30 a.m., ETA Jan 27. Grounding on the Humber
Enroute from Hamburg via Immingham to Goole the "RMS Wedau" became stuck on a muddy sand bank close between Goole and Brough on Mar 1, 2015. The Bridlington Coastguard monitored the situation. The vessel was stuck in soft mud and there were no concerns about pollution. The vessel refloated on the high tide at about 4 a.m. on Mar 2 and proceeded to Goole Port. The "RMS Wedau" suffered engine trouble on its way from Riga to Wisbech, ETA May 17, 2010, 5 p.m. with a cargo of timber. The ship berthed at the North Pier of the Scheer Harbour in Kiel on May 15 to carry out repairs. The ship actually remains there.
