Medevac in Lübeck bight
On Feb 19. 2022, a crew member of the ' Finnfellow'collapsed in the engine room while the ship was sailing in the Lübeck night. He had to be resuscitated. The lifeboat 'Erich Koschibs' was called from the DGzRS station Travemünde with an emergency physician on board, supported by the lifeboat ' Felix Sand'. The crew of the "Finnfellow"provided first aid in the meantime under their guidance. Thr helicopter Rescue01 of the Northern Helicopter GmbH transported the man to hospital then. Blackout off Turku
The "Finnfellow suffered a blackout due to a technical error on Erstan in the Airisto passage Turku's archipelago on Nov 13, 2018, just before midnight and returned to Naantali. The ferry had encountered problems with the generator just after departure at 10 p.m. which led to a power outage on the ship. On board the ship there were 170 people, of whom 136 were passengers. The ship was anchored at the fairway's side between Erikvalla and Airismaa. The crew tried to repair the fault at the shaft bearings, but failed to do so. Power was partially restored by activating the emergency generator. Two tugs assisted the vessel to Naantali where she safely berthed on Nov 14 at 1 a.m. The ship completed repairs in the evening. After getting permission from the authorities in order to return to normal scheduled traffic, she left the port of Naantali again at 9.50 p.m. and arrived in Kapellskär on Nov 15 at 6.15 a.m. The "Finnfellow" is sailing between Nådendal, Långnäs and Kapellskär. Allision in Långnäs
In the afternoon of May 2, 2018, the "Finnfellow" allided with a quay in Långnäs in Åland, 30 km east of Mariehamn. A fender was damaged and dropped to the bottom. The port was closed for a few hours to lift it up, but there was no traffic interference as the removal could be carried oout between the ferries services. The ferry later sailed to the Kapellskar Ferry Terminal.
