Finnlines to lengthen up to six Breeze-Class ro-ros at Remontowa Shipyard
Grimaldi Group owned Finnlines is to lengthen up to six of its Breeze-Class freight ro-ros at the Remontowa Shipyard in Gdansk.
Oil spill in Kotka
On Feb 5, 2015, at 7 p.m. fuel leak from a hose during the transfer from the "Finnbreeze" to a tank truck in the port of Kotka. About a thousand liters of fuel oil spilt. Snow and ice ridges were built up to keep the oil from flowing from the quay by the fire brigade. The polluted material was then collected. First Ro-Ro ship call at Ust-Luga port
The first Ro-Ro cargo ship Finnbreeze, November 29 docked at Pier No 25 of Yug-2 Multipurpose Terminal at the Port of Ust-Luga. The first call of Finnlines’ Ro-Ro vessel has commenced the new Lubeck-Ust-Luga service launched by Finnlines, the Ust-Luga press release said. The Yug-2 terminal was designed for handling Ro-Ro, CON-RO vessels. The Ust-Luga stevedores offloaded from Finnbreeze 24 trailers. Finnlines plans two more calls in December from the Germany port of Lubeck to the UL Yug-2 terminal.
