RoPax Ferry Finbo Cargo Enters Muuga Port
The Estonian terminal operator HHLA TK Estonia is strengthening its position as a RoRo hub in the Baltic region. The wholly owned subsidiary of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) said in a press release that the Finnish ferry company Eckerö Line recently began connecting the port of Muuga, where HHLA TK Estonia operates a multi-function terminal, with Vuosaari in Finland. Twice daily, the RoPax ferry Finbo Cargo enters the port of Muuga, which is about 20 kilometres east of the Estonian capital, Tallinn. On the Finnish side, Vuosaari – located in the east of Helsinki – is served.
Rederi AB Eckerö acquires EUROPEAN ENDEAVOUR from P&O Ferries
Åland-based Rederi AB Eckerö has acquired the 1,950-lanemetre EUROPEAN ENDEAVOUR from P&O Ferries. The 2000-built ro-pax ferry is currently in drydock at Cammell Laird in Birkenhead and is expected to be handed over to her new owners later this month.
European Endeavour
M&A Engineering Limited have recently completed remedial in-situ machining work on the European Endeavour, of the Becker Rudder blind bore, and the aft ramp hinges. The work was carried out at A&P Falmouth. www.mandaengineering.co.uk
