German vessel FEODORA II soon ready to call at Danish port in Flensborg Fjord
At a follow-up inspection on board FEODORA II today, the Danish Maritime Authority has verified that the vessel is fitted with lifejackets, liferafts and the required fire-protection. Thus, the most important safety-related requirements in connection with passenger voyages in Flensborg Fjord are met. During the inspection, it was agreed to follow up on a few minor items. On Mar 13 at 8.30 the "Sven Johannsen" was in collision with the Antigua-Barbuda flagged cargo m/v "Lisa D", 1162 gt (IMO: 8205187) on the Trave off the Travemünde breakwater. Both ships were significantly damaged, the "Sven Johannsen" on starboard side at the wheelhouse, while the bow of the "Lisa D" which had run into the passenger vessel, was breached and dented above the waterline. The "Lisa D" berthed at the Ostpreussen Quay for surveys, and the police questioned the crew. In the evening the ship proceeded to Marstal.
