Grounding on the Weser
On Jan 22, 2012, at 2.10 a.m. the "Federal Yukon" while leaving the lock of Oslebshausen on the Weser, river km 9,5, enroute from the industrial port in Bremen for Ravenna with a cargo of steel allided with the construction. The ship after leaving the lock stern first while turning around under assistance of two tugs got stuck. The ship after being free again berthed at Osterort IV in Bremen for surveys. At 10.40 p.m. the ship was allowed to sail again and was sailing off the Dutch coast in the morning of Jan 23.
