The 'Eterrnal Light - FR 35' with a crew of five on board suffered a mechanical failure and was disabled one mile off Hartlepool in the evening of March 22, 2020. The RNLI lifeboat 'Betty Huntbatch' was paged at 8.23 p.m. and launched at 8.39 p.m. It was alongside the vessel at 8.45 p.m. and was then taken in tow about the short distance to the nearby fish quay where it was met at 9.05 p.m. by a local Coastguard team who assisted with mooring the vessel. The RNLI all weather boat returned to the Ferry Road lifeboat station at 9.30.p.m. Early on March 23 the trawler left the port again and headed to Brixham.
