Crew member tested positive for COVID 19
16 crew members of the 'EnQuest Producer' in Cromarty Firth was isolating for two weeks after a colleague who remained on board tested positive for Covid-19. He said concerns were first raised when an asymptomatic crew member found out family members had the virus. He left the vessel and returned home, where they received a test that came back positive. Tests were then carried out on board the 'EnQuest Producer', and one person was found to have the coronavirus. Although all other crew members’ results were negative, some workers were now isolating as a precaution in accordance with EnQuest’s protocols. The remaining crew members have all tested negative for Covid-19. The vessel was berthed at Nigg port and in accordance with port health protocols has been placed in quarantine on Oct 5, 2020. The FPSO finished producing oil from the Alma and Galia fields earlier this year and sailed to Cromarty Firth in September.
