Fine of 409000 NOK for dumping fish
The owner company of the "Enniberg" was fined with 409,000 Norwegian crowns for having dumped protected fish species in Norwegian sea. The trawler was handed over to the police by the Coast Guard ship Sortland on Feb 20. The captain of the trawler has now got a personal fine of NOK 20,000 for violating the Marine Resources Act. When a new trawl was drawn up, they threw out the old fish before the new beam came aboard. Ship seized off Finnmark
On Feb 19, 2015, the "Sortland" of the Norwegian Coastguard seized the "Enniberg" due to suspected fising of protected species on the Hjelmsøy bank outside Finnmark. The vessel was escorted to Hammerfest for handing over the case to police and prosecutors. It berthed in port at 5.45 p.m.
