Ferry had to return to port

The "Elyros" returned to the port of Piraeus on Sep 28, 2024, at dawn after a fault had occurred in the power supply of the generators eight nautical miles off the Greek coast between Aegina and Glyfada with 977 passengers and 119 crew members a on board. The shiphad sailed from Piraeus on Sep 27 at 9 p.m., bound for Crete.

Passenger lost consciousness

The Port Authority of Chania was informed in the evening of April 30, 2023, that a 17-year-old passenger lost consciousness inside his cabin. He was disembarked and transported by ambulance to the General Prefectural Hospital of Chania, for further medical treatment, while theship sailed on its approved route.

Passenger injured on ferry

The Central Port Authority of Chania was informed in the evening of May 23, 2021, of the injury of a 64-year-old passenger of the 'Elyros' on the right wrist, while the ship was on its scheduled route from the port of Souda to the port of Piraeus. The ferry returned to Souda in order to disembark thepatient who was picked up by an ambulance and transported to the General Hospital of Chania. The ship then resumed its planned route. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Port Authority.
