Trawler grounded at Solstrand
The "Havborg" ran aground in the Tromsøy Sound near the freezing plant at Solstrand on May 2, 2017. The lifeboat "Kaptein Skaugen" was alerted and reached the ship just past 11 p.m. First attempts to salvage the ship failed due to the falling water level. It was decided to wait for the rising tide before trying to pull the trawler out, and the "Kaptein Skaugen" returned to its station in the meantime. On May 3 at 5 a.m. the attempts were continued. The ship was refloated at 5.15 a.m. Divers have checked the hull and found no damage. The trawler obviously had come too close to a sandbank.
