T&T ship captain found floating off St Vincent

THE body of a Trinidad and Tobago national has been discovered in the waters off St Vincent's main port at Kingstown. Online news source iWitness News of St Vincent reported that ship captain Alexis McLean, 53, was last seen alive last Wednesday between 7 and 8 p.m. When he was not seen the next day, friends filed a missing person report with the Kingstown Police Station. Around 7 p.m. on Friday, his body was found in the water, iWitnesss News reported. According to reports, McLean arrived on that island aboard the C Elizabeth III which is an inter-island vessel that transports good between Port of Spain and Kingstown. He was the captain of the vessel.

In the evening of Nov 15, 2010, the "Charisma" suffered a crank shaft exlosion between the buoys 2 and 4 off Travemünde. The ship went adrift off the port. It was kept on position by the polie launch "habicht" before being towed to the fishing pier by the harbour tug "Axel" where it was safely moored at 11.38 p.m. No injuries reported, no fire.
