Ship in danger of running aground after loss of anchor
The "Elizabeth" on Dec 10, 2011, dropped anchor off Slagentangen and was in danger of running aground at Åsgård Beach due to strong wind. After the "Elizabeth" had lost an anchor and was drifting towards the shore. Horten VTS (Traffic Central) was informed about the critical situation. Officers in charge got in touch with the crew of the ship which was told to immediately restart the engine The ship was 180 meters away from the Småskjæra when the crew got the engines started.
