Disabled sailing vessel towed to safety

On July 16, 2013, at 7.30 p.m. the" Eldorado" was disabled and had to anchor with engine damage in the Siechen Bight on the Trave. The lifeboat "Hans Ingwersen" was alerted by Trave Traffic, but the converted Faaborg-f/v "Christoph" was first on scene and took the ship in tow with its 200 hp and moored it at a nearby pier. Medevac off Hoek

On Sep 19, 2012, at 5.10 a.m. the KNRM Hoek was alarmed for a medevac. A 55-year old female crew member of the "El Dorado" had suffered injuries at the arm by cooking water. The "Jeanine Parqui" was alongside at 06.30 a.m. in position 51°56.30 N 003°46.30 E in the southern anchorae 4. The patient was transferred aboard and was taken ashore in the Berghaven from where an ambulance took the woman to the St. Franciscus hospital.
