Tue Jun 18 11:51:41 CEST 2019 Timsen

The "Eiltank 18", 2075 ts (EU-No.: 04011810), was in a head-on-collision with the pusher tug "Gino" (ENI-No.: 05502270) with a barge on the Waal at Heerewaarden on June 18, 2019, at 4.30 a.m. The German tank barge was underway from Antwerp to Germany when it crashed into the "Gion", which was coming from Duisburg, off the Fort Sint-Andries. Grounding on the Rhine

Sun Oct 29 16:07:37 CET 2017 Timsen

The German flagged, self propelled tank barge "Eiltank 18", 2075 ts (EU-No.: 04011810), ran aground on the Rhine, coming from Millingen, at Osterspai on Oct 22, 2017. The ship could only be refloated on Oct 24 after a part of the cargo of 1.100 tons diesel fuel was pumped onto a lighter ship. The Rhine was barred for ship traffic in both directions during this time. 15 ships were affected. the tanker was taken to Bad Salzig in the Rhein-Lahn-Municipality with own power but alongside the lighter ship for investigations. The grounding was caused by a technical malfunction in the evening hours of Oct 22 which had a failure of all navigational equipment as a consequence. The ship berthed in Duisburg on Oct 27.
