Ship disabled on St. Lawrence River
The 'Efficiency OL', en route from Montreal, was disabled due to propulsion issues while transiting the St. Lawrence River in position 46 11 01 N, 072 54 35 W, in Lac Saint-Pierre, about five nautical miles south-southeast of Louiseville, Quebec, on Jan 8, 2022. After anchoring nearby for repairs, the vessel continued on its voyage and berthed in Trois Rivières at 11.20 p.m.
Man electrocuted aboard bulkcarrier
A 23-year-old man has been electrocuted on the "Efficiency Ol" at Bunbury Port on Sep 30, 2017 at 6 p.m. The Chinese national was working on the bulk carrier. He was taken by ambulance to Bunbury Hospital but was believed to have died instantly. Police was preparing a report for the coroner and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority is investigating the state of the ship's safety standards.
