ECLIPS
The "Eclips" which had run aground on a crib on the Danube Dec 14, 2010, was refloated on Jan 10, 2011. Because no suitable crane was in the area and the ship was outside the channel, flood was awaited. After being stuck almost four weeks at Hofkirchen between Straubing and Vilshofen, the Danube rose to 4.30 meters in the morning, allwoing the "Hengersberg" and "Vilshofen" to tow the vessel back to deep water without significant damage. The empty ship was en route from Austria to Regensburg.
