Medevac in Camaret
The 'Sandettie' which had left Scheveningen onJan 6, 2020, bound to the southern Bay of Biscay, diverted to Brest to disembark an injured Dutch sailor in the afternoon of Jan 10. He was transferred from the trawler to the Quai Malbert by the SNSM boat 'Notre-Dame-de-Rocamadour' of the station Camaret. He was picked up at 4 p.m. by firefighters and taken to the Cavale Blanche hospital while the 'Sandettie' set sail again. Medevac off Barfleur
On Dec 8, 2018 around 9:45 a.m. the CROSS Jobourg was alerted afte ra crew member of the "Sandettie" had suffered knee and arm injuries after a fall north-west of Fécamp- Following a coordination conference between the CROSS, the Toulouse Maritime Medical Consultation Center (CCMM) and the Maritime Medical Coordination SAMU in Le Havre (76), it was decided that care was taken on board. On Dec 9 at 7:45 a.m., the injured was still complaining of severe pain. The vessel was 20 miles east of Barfleur and the crew contacted the CROSS Jobourg again. Following another coordination conference a medevac of the patient was recommended as soon as possible. Around 8:10 a.m., the CROSS Jobourg deployed a Cayman helicopter of the Navy in Maupertus. Medevac off Batz
A Crew member of the "Sandettie" was medevaced from the "Sandettie" on Mar 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. due to chest pain. The ship was about 50 miles off the island of Batz. The man was transported by a Cayman helicopter of the French Navy base in Lanvéoc to the hospital in Brest.
