Fate of stricken vessel Dong San unknown

The fate of a stricken South Korean fishing trawler in Cape Town remains unclear at this stage. More than 20 firefighters spent a week fighting a blaze on board the Donsang moored in Table Bay Harbour. On Friday, tons of ammonia and diesel which initially posed a threat were removed from the vessel. Cape Town Disaster Management's Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said port officials were monitoring the situation. “There is continuous pumping of water from the vessel in the two areas- in the engine room as well as hold number one,” he said.
